The LNW RESEARCH CORPORATION line of computers are clones of the Tandy Radio Shack TRS-80 Model I. The LNW80 added 4MHz operation, hires and color graphics and 8" Disk Drive support to the configuration without loosing compatibility with the TRS-80 Model I.
Later models added more memory, CP/M operation and even limited MS-DOS compatibility.
LNW80 computers were sold assembled and tested, but also as kits, and in parts. The LNDOUBLER 5/8 and LNW System Expansion (Tandy Expansion Interface clone) were the best known. LNW advertised extensively in the 80Micro magazine until they folded in 1984.
